We are the Six Norwegians who have been lucky to get an opportunity to go with Michel on a Tour to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Michel told us many interesting stories about the different places as we drove passed. We also stopped at many different places he knew about very much. We were so happy and satisfied that we hired him the next day for a wine tour as well. This tour was also very successful. We thank you, Michel and we will be back.

Je vous renouvelle nos remerciements pour ces moments passés avec vous. Grâce à vous, nous avons pu découvrir ce merveilleux endroit qu'est le Cap. Vous nous avez appris beaucoup de choses sur l'histoire de l'Afrique du Sud ainsi que sur leurs habitants. Cette après midi où nous avons visité les townships ont été une très expérience. C'est une autre facette de l'Afrique du Sud qu'il faut à mon avis connaitre et voir. Votre disponibilité, votre écoute, votre accueil font de vous un agréable guide. Nous vous souhaitons une longue et belle carrière en tant que guide ! Et nous n'avons qu'une seule chose à vous dire : nous reviendrons sans hésiter !! Très bonne continuation à vous.

For the first time in our life, we have been two wonderful weeks in Africa! Our journey started with a group in Zimbabwe. The last four days we had on our own in Cape Town. A friend told us to call Michel to pick us up at the airport. He drove us safely to the guesthouse. We also decided to book him to take us for a whole day trip to Cape Point. He really made the tour very interesting to us, and we learnt a lot more on this trip than we had ever expected! Dear John, As a chaperone, I wanted to thank you for your time and efforts with our group (PSHS Band) in South Africa. Specifically, I wanted to relay to you how important and beneficial Michel Mutambayi was to our tour. I only wish that he was able to be with all of us on our busses as he was key to helping the kids understand the Aparthied and current and past struggles of S.A. I would hope that any future tours that you take or recommend to your clients include Michel. Unfortunately, even within our own S.A. tour guides, we were able to see the continued challenges and differing views based on race/creed and color. Hi Michel,

After Capetown I went to Durban and then Joberg. Overall I had a very good experience with you in South Africa. One of my friends had a problem with his ATM card being skimmed so lost a few thousand dollars in the process. (That was the only negative point of the tour).

Capetown I thought was the most spectacular part ofthe tour. You made it special by taking us to Cape of Good Hope. The SA hospitality was amazing really. The Guest house at Pretoria where I stayed was very nice. I have written about it in TRIP ADVISOR. I will write about your good work too (very soon). I especially remember that you picked us up in sea point on complimentary basis which I thought was very very sweet.

Cheers and take care of yourself and your family. I wish I can come to CT again soon and if I ever come I will contact you first.

Il est impossible de visiter Cap Town sans rencontrer Michel. Sa gentillesse, sa pédagogie nous ont permis non seulement de visiter Cap town mais surtout de comprendre l’Afrique du Sud, sa population, ses enjeux économiques et sociaux. Grâce à lui nous avons pu ressentir l’histoire de l’A. du S. et non la lire avec l’émotion d’un homme que cela concerne plus que tout. Grâce à Michel nous avons été accueillis dans un Township avec beaucoup d’hospitalité et sans voyeurisme. Des associations œuvrent pour l’amélioration des conditions de vie de ces habitants et notre visite leur permet non seulement de récolter de l’argent mais aussi de faire comprendre aux habitants de ces ghettos et en particulier aux enfants, que « les blancs » viennent à leur rencontre et que leur volonté soit que l’apartheid soit définitivement relégué aux livres d’histoire. Les mots ne suffisent pas à exprimer cette rencontre mais en tout état de cause, c’est bien grâce à Michel que cette expérience fût possible.
